New UK expedition for 2027 coming soon

To be announced for April 2027, we will shortly confirm a new expedition in the U.K. that we invite you to join. It will take around 5-7 days, will be challenging but within most people’s reach, and once competed will be a proper “feather in your cap”. Stand by for the announcement in the next few weeks!

Tour du Mont Blanc - July 2025

A determined group of trekkers has completed an epic nine-day journey through the Alps, hiking from Les Houches in France to Courmayeur in Italy and into Switzerland, before returning to Chamonix. Facing intense heat, hailstorms, snow, steep climbs, and the infamous ladders of Lac Blanc, the team covered over 150km and climbed more than 10,000m in elevation.

The trip tested their limits, but spirits remained high with laughter, camaraderie, and a few spontaneous singalongs. Highlights included spectacular views of Mont Blanc, encounters with marmots, and the chance to sleep at iconic alpine refuges.

Most importantly, the adventure raised vital funds for Supporting Nepal’s Children, currently standing at £12.2k. Thank you to everyone who supported the team and donated, we really appreciate it.

As one trekker put it, “We’ve been tested, we’ve laughed, and most of all, we’ve had a fantastic time. Raising money for such a worthy cause made every step worth it.

The team kept a day-by-day blog while they were away, including amazing photos – please visit our Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn pages to view their awesome trip.

Build & Trek 2024: Week 2 Update

After an uplifting day at the Inauguration of the Vocational School at Olgapuri Village in Lalitpur and seeing what the final outcome of their hard work would be, the team flew West to Dhangadhi.  Here they worked hard on a new building site for four days and made a significant physical contribution to the build of the new Vocational School, on land kindly donated by the Municipality of Dhangadhi.

They worked tirelessly alongside the Nepali team clearing the site, mixing cement, sieving sand, shifting A LOT of bricks and other materials, and doing some of the hard-labour jobs, so the skilled Nepali team didn’t waste any time.

Everyone mucked in, supported each other, and also made sure they had great fun in the very muggy heat which reached in excess of 33 degrees. The team varied in ages from
21 to 71 and built an amazing bond between them. Most were way outside of their comfort zones and camping also added to the challenge, especially for those who’d never experienced sleeping in a tent before! During the daily rest period between 11am and 2pm, temperatures in the tents were a stifling 38 degrees!

As a result of their interactions with the local children the team even managed to complete an extra task not on the original ‘to-do’ list….the levelling of their cricket pitch!

It's safe to say that a piece of all of the teams hearts has been left in Dhangadhi and they can't wait to head back to see the Vocational School open and operational.

Dherai dherai dhanyabad to the Mayor and all the locals who welcomed them so generously.

Thank you to all of you back in the UK for your support of the amazing individuals that made up the B&T Team 2024. Your support and encouragement throughout the whole trip ensured they were in high spirits at all times. We hope you enjoyed your reunions with them and felt the warmth and gratitude from us all for allowing them to join Supporting Nepal’s Children in Nepal.

Thank you also to everyone who has sponsored the team so far, we really do appreciate it – currently our fundraising stands at £104,900 of our £150,000 target.
