Hazel Grace

Founder & Nepal Operations

Once in a while, life throws you onto a path that changes your journey FOREVER. For Hazel, that moment came in 2012, during a successful expedition to Everest Base Camp alongside Roger and Nadine, where her heart was captured. So much so, she went back to the Khumbu in 2013 with Roger. Their mission? To give back to the Sherpas who had been pillars of support to the whole team in 2012.

It didn’t take long for them to find their calling – Pangboche School. Nestled on a mountainside with views of Everest, the school was in desperate need – whilst having inspiring views, it lacked the comfort and resources every child deserves. They couldn’t bear to walk away and, in 2014, returned complete with 3,000 library books and a blueprint for a safe playground.

What started with books and playgrounds turned into something much bigger – a LEGACY for the young people of Nepal and a continual commitment to enriching and empowering their lives.

Hazel now spends 4 months every year in Nepal, having fallen in love with the country, the culture, the food and especially the people.  She is continually in search of new projects to help to inspire us for the future of Supporting Nepal’s Children.
